Make waivers one day only

Does anyone really need 2 days for waivers?

I wish that from time to time too, Steve. But it really is more fair to some guys who can't access the site during work or family obligations.

i think we need the two days. Some leagues take a couple weeks to fill so there are times when a league fills and drafts with some managers not noticing it finally filled. We need to give all managers a chance to see what their team looks like, along with time to make trades and select some waiver guys.

you guys are right of course. Sometimes the waiting is almost unbearable though

What about cutting it to one day for Friday drafts?

If a Friday night draft ended before midnight, the waivers were Sunday and the league starts on Monday. If the draft ended after midnight, the waiver were Monday, making the league wait that extra week to have opening day. In the cases where drafts went past midnight, we used to have Bernie push opening day up to the first Monday. So waivers were at 5:00 Monday and the league started that same night as long as there was no objection from any of the managers.

We just need a "Ready" button. Execute waivers when everyone is ready or the current deadline.

Hmmm, a "ready" button. Not that I would ever use it this way but ...

Wait around and be the last one to mark team ready and take advantage of those who marked ready earlier but happened to be away when the last person, me, clicked ready.

I would be ok with this as long as waivers did not go off until the following day after everyone marked their teams as ready. I would bet though 95% of the time that would end up being exactly same as current waiting time.

How about this .... For those who do not want to wait for waivers have an option for all players being available same night league fills.
