I have to echo Blue Turtle's sentiment. The old manager ratings disproportionately rewarded players for total games won and total championships won. So, many players who bought many seasons, but had lower winning percentages, had higher manager ratings than players who bought less seasons, but had higher ones. So, they didn't really tell us who the best, or even better managers, were.
What you say is mostly correct. Where I would disagree is that ratings did have some value in telling you who the top managers were. I have played with most of the top rated ATG guys at one point or another, and while the top ten listed in the manager ratings may not actually have been the top ten ATG managers, eight or nine of them probably were eight or nine of the top twenty five or thirty or even forty best, so being at the top usually indicates some level of competency, but not always. That being said, I just want to be able to see
MY record! I don't think that's an unreasonable request at all. How about just some type of sortable alphabetical listing that includes playoff % and/or championship % that those who want more than a simple listing can sort till their hearts content and I can see how
MY teams as a group have fared?
