I have picked him up a few times, always in the FA period. I think a lot of managers avoid the highest cost guys almost regardless, figuring two $6M guys are better than McCutcheon and a $1M guy.

Maybe McCutchen is overpriced. .... Matt Kemp definitely seems to be popular.

Not a lot of guys play adequate defense can hit .270+ with 30+ HR's not being platooned. TBH, I've had Kemp outperform Rizzo on the same team, and you look at the cost comparison, you see why he's popular.
I think many of the people in the league I just joined were reading this thread because many of the names mentioned were not picked (scared off?)! I should have listened, though, about Miggy because I drafted him too low to get him. On the other hand I got Kemp as the alternate to my pick Markakis, so nobody drafted him (and I'm not complaining!)
Kemp does seem like a good bargain but also not the only one at that position or even in that price range. Nelson Cruz, Mookie Betts and some others also look like good bargains in RF. I have used several high injury risk guys so far but I have not tried Michael Cuddyer. Has anyone seen him do really well? I wonder how many games you can expect on the average out of him?
