Frustrating, heart breaking, hair pulling, totally enjoyable

PostSat May 23, 2015 8:52 pm

A bunch of us just finished both the AL round-robin and the NL round-robin tournaments, 24 seasons of play since the end of 2012. One of our managers summarized the experience in these tournaments -- and in Strat, in general -- as follows:

I second that emotion!

These were each 12-season events where each manager had each team once.

I played in the AL version. Biggest lesson learned? Don't swim with the Sharks!!!!

That is a very cool concept. Takes alot of effort, but looks like a great challenge.

As it turns out, I am a better organizer than a manager. Even so, it was great fun!

Ho ho ho! Actually, Rob and I both appear to be pretty much "average" managers -- but I gotta say, he is one hell of an organizer. He ran a 10-season 1950s league offline and we are now into a 1960s one. Outstanding effort!

So if a "community organizer" can become president, can a "strat organizer" aspire to secretary of dice and split cards?
