I predict just under .500 the rest of the way, and missing the wild card by a game or 3.

MG, you'd have to start stinking in one run games (+8 presently) AND just stop scoring you have the best run dif in the league. I think you'll make the playoffs.

As for us, our one run games continue unabated. 4 of the last 5 are one runners BUT we actually won 3 of them!!!!! :0 :shock

If we can get back to .500 in one run games we can make the playoffs!!!! (we'd have to go +13 in them, not likely :p )

Smoke, well, that's what I tell myself anyway. Especially with this extreme of a number and such a positive run dif. I mean, maybe, a certain type of team can average above .500 by a few games, but I don't think the extremes come down to anything but luck.

Home stretch coming up. AT and Smokey battling it out in the East, GB and MG up comfortably in the other divisions.

WC is likely between Smoke/AT, Big A and dark horse Spider.

We're just hoping to get to .500. We'll have to go 16-11 to do so.

Today's interesting stat. We outscored GB 71-47 (+24) and went 5-7. :(

That's some tough luck there JTJ...

And, on a side note, you have given me the one run game disease. My last two series', yes, all six games were decided by one run (of which I went 5-1, so that's fine by me). Guessing with that record recently in one runners, a little bit of Geoff rubbed off on me too.

MG,

Well it is what it is. Gotta go 9-3 now to make .500. Not likely. *Might* be able to avoid the East, but the way we've played in our division (tonight's sweep of AT notwithstanding) doesn't bode well.

We're 7-11 against Dale whose team has the second worse record and 7-14, plus 1-8 in Smokey's park where we play him next.

Losing Betts for 15 hasn't helped any.

Looks like I'm doomed for the Central - have to pick up 4 against Bonn (would lose a tie-breaker) and 2 against Ottawa with only 12 games to go.

Looks like tonight is a big night for you playing Big A. Having six with MG it going to make it tough however.

Well, getting swept by Hawk tonight makes it interesting. Six with Zim and 3 with Big A.

The good news is that Zim is the one team in your division where you have a winning record (11-7)

The bad news is that you're 8-13 v Big A and he's 13-5 v Hawk with whom he has six games.

Gonna come down to the wire, but not having the tiebreaker with Big A makes it imperative you take at least two with Big A and probably 4 of 6 with Zim.

GB is pretty much home free in the West.

Smoke is up 4 with 9 to play over AT. AT will probably have to sweep the three they have together to make it as, without that, Smokey would have the tie breaker for essentially a 5 game lead.

WC comes down to
AT - 82
Big A - 82
Spider - 80

MG has 84 if Big A catches him.

Actually it's Spider, not Zim, at 80.
