That wasn't "lazy logic." It was a perfectly logical and true statement showing SOM provides a particular service for a low price. If you actually want to show how it's "lazy logic"--anyone can just say it is--please show how.
What services does SOM provide exactly? The whole damn thing practically runs itself ...
No, it doesn't. SOM's programmers, engineers, and technicians enable it to run and manage and fix it throughout the season.
other than the once a year they have to come up with new cards, what the hell do they actually do? Answer a question or two? And do they honestly even do that? What exactly are they serving these 67 days? Access to email somebody? Wow Amazing
Yes, they do come up with new cards, and, as I showed above, they do the work that enables its program to allow us to interact with it and run games and drafts every night. That is a service that is definitely worth 30-33 cents a day. I wouldn't call it "amazing" as you did, but I would certainly call it substantial.
The prices for this game are atrocious. I paid .99 cents for i***** on my iphone and have spent dozens and dozens of hours on it just this year alone without ever needing customer service. Oh and I'm sure if I did, there is an email I can use to reach someone.
I have no idea what "i*****" is and what services it provides. I imagine it doesn't provide the same services or demand the same work load from it's employers as SOM online does, so you need to provide more information if you want your analogy to work. I won't, however, sing the praises of SOM's customer service or relations; they are not its strong points.
This game has so much potential to set itself apart from the competition but at this point it has become an embarrassment of old farts who are holding it back from being the true game it could be.
This is like the fifth time you've mentioned "old farts" and/or old people. You're beginning to show quite an obsession with the geriatric. So, I have to ask, how old are you...and why is age such an issue for you? I'm 46 myself, and the ages of my competitors don't concern me. Also, if you see the game has so much "potential," then you clearly believe it provides substantial services and have contradicted your erroneous "lazy logic" comment above. Of course, I already showed that.
Stop making excuses, this place is run horribly and it will continue to go down hill until you open your eyes and see that you are all suckers for staying here and paying this ridiculous sum for a broken game.
I made no excuse; I stated facts. I'm sorry you don't know the difference. And there's no bigger sucker than someone who rants and raves about a product he or she can't stand while continuing to use it and hang out on its forums.
You people are full of it if you believe this game is reasonably priced in this day and age. They HAVE to charge an arm and a leg because they NEVER get any new blood. It's just progressively getting worse every year with less and less giving a shit being obvious. How long can this model last?
You're getting quite angry, hostile and upset over a product you claim to disdain. Are you ok? Again, as I said before, If SOM is so terrible and unhinges you so, why are you still here? As you said yourself, there are plenty other options out there. I suggest you go try a few.
This nonsense about the game not being ridiculously over priced is just silly.
Do you really think teenagers want to spend 20 bucks on a game they've never played, that has a steep learning curve, that has no bells or whistles, that can only be played on windows? This place is still stuck in the 90s and it's just sad.
No, it's not overpriced. It's 30-33 cents a day. If you can tell me a similar product providing such service at such cost please do. As I said before, you are clearly upset and disappointed with SOM, enough that you would continue to rant and rage at it and its users. All that effort would probably be better spent on a site you actually like.
