voovits, consider using stratdraft.com for the draft. You can probably upload the SOM workbooks as the player pool. It supports proxies and a clock. Rob Latorre uses it for a CDROM league and it is great. It solves the whole player tracking issue.

Vote tally:
No-DH: 6
DH: 3

from what I can tell in visiting stratdraft.com is that you have to pay to sign up and continue to pay subscription fees to to continue being a member. Considering how long this draft is likely to take we're looking a ta 1 year subscription for $29. I'm not really keen on spending that money nor do I want to force anyone else to spend it if they dont want to.

Unless I'm completely missing something about that site.

Joe had a great idea to keep track of your players: Create all 4 of your teams and enter the players you draft one by one so it can keep track of your team and salary for you.

Rob is a subscriber and can provide some insight. Maybe we can chip or something.

Yep, I use it a lot. you can have 1 draft at a time, but as many as you want in a 1 year time frame. You can also setup custom player pools, which might be a help. It would be 1 draft with all 4 cardsets? Yes?

If stratdraft is a no, I will do SOMETHING to help out on my website. I can't code draft logic right now, but I can put up a site listing the player pool, draft picks, available players, team rosters as they are built, etc. might take a couple days but I could pull something useful together.

Another option would be to use Google docs and a mac daddy of a spreadsheet that we can all share. I drafted a OFET league and the commish created a nice xls for it. We could do the same, with the right vlookups it could work....

Let me know, will be happy to help.

BTW, stratdraft is a 1x cost for the league, not for each team. So we'd be looking at $2.50 each? I'd front it and collect via paypal from you deadbeats LOL.

OK if it's just a 1 time cost for the league then fine, but I can't figure out how to create a username/password for myself without having to pay. That implies to me that everyone has to pay just to register at the site.

If every user has to pay to access/use that site then I'm against it. If it's 1 payment for the entire league then I'm OK with it. Someone just needs to let me and everyone else know how to register.

Sadly I have to leave for work right now so I can't be around to do this at the moment. There are tons of reliable vets in this league so if anyone wants to step up and get the ball rolling on getting it started, I'll support whatever decision everyone comes to on where to conduct the draft. If the paysite ends up getting used, if Rob wants to set up the league I can reimburse him in full through paypal later tonight. Again, that's only under the condition that it's just the 1 time payment and everyone wont have to pay to register their username.

I will be back later in the evening.
