It works really well. The best part for me are the proxies, you can set them up to pick up to 15 players, group them (and the number from each group). It definitely helps move the drafts along.

Also time limits can be set up for picks, all good stuff in a single season card set.

For us, I would think leave the clock off. I also don't think I will be able to enter too many proxies with this type of league. They are a lot easier in single card set leagues. Although, once you start filling out your bench, the proxies really can help.

I have seen leagues take a day per round, then rounds 18-25 are done in less than a day ;-)

it will be a long draft. last time people were very vigilant. if we only do a round per day, 104 rounds will take over 3 months. that WILL piss some people off, so check in regularly and set proxies.

robert....make sure he sets it up so that if you draft Brett80s it doesn't remove Brett70s or Brett90s though. they have to be 3 separate entitites.

despite having over 570 plate appearances in each of 90, 91, 92, and 93, and leading the league in BA in 1990, Brett doesn't have a card in the 90s set.

Anyway, it got me thinking about George Brett and I found this sentence in in Wikipedia "Brett is one of four players in MLB history to accumulate 3,000 hits, 300 home runs, and a career .300 batting average (the others being ______, ______, and _______). " Any guesses (without looking) on the other 3? One was a real surprise for me.

I am guessing Yount, Morgan and A-Rod.

Now, to go look it up and see that I got zero right.

franky,

Mays, Aaron, Musial (but also considered Gehrig, Hornsby, Palmeiro, Biggio, Molitor, Jeter, )

this is probably wrong because I don't see the one that would have "surprised" you....maybe it's Palmeiro instead of one of the big 3

Although I knew Aaron hit for average in the early part of his career, I never figured Aaron to be a lifetime .300 hitter.

I guessed Mays, Musial, and WIlliams, so not quite right. I would not have guessed Brett, I didn't realize he had 300 Home Runs.

OK I am back from work. What do I do to set it up? Do I need the custom player pool you were going to create?
Also, not only is it important to not lose Brett if he gets drafted, but to be able to distinguish which Brett you are drafting. I hope this works out.

I am emailing still with the admin from the draft site, we are trying to figure out the best way to load that many players. I will help out by creating the file once he tells us the best way to load it.

OK. Unfortunately I'm off to work again now and won't be back until later tonight.
If there are any documents or anything that I will need to upload to the site go ahead and e-mail it to me jvoovits3@aol.com and if possible try to give some basic instructions.

Does this site randomize draft order or do we need a randomizer to be run?
