Oh, and here's one post from last year where you state your intention to buy JoetheJet's guide:

...and here's another from last year where you say having a ratings guide is a "must" for winning:
Radagast Brown wrote:I think if you are serious about wanting to win and you play a lot a ratings guide is a must.

Those don't sound like posts by a guy who hasn't recently used ratings guides, by JoetheJet or anybody.

Now, how about Starlin Castro?... ;)

How about tell us all how the ratings guide is an advantage? Still have not addressed this, prove it, there is nothing in the guide that one cannot produce....unless that is you have no simple math skills

Kind of OB guy, power guy, speed guy, power guy, whatever Rosales is, POWER guy, balanced guy, weak hitter, OB guy to finish. Is this lineup simply the unfortunate leftovers from injuries or does it make some sabr sense? Genuinely asking since there were several people making some sense out of the Starling/Cubs lineup for me.

go here:

you could use this year's partial stats, or maybe combine them with last year's, or whatever -- maybe try different line-up combos and compare

I suppose the handedness of the pitcher matters, too, but this can't account for that

I have noticed that about four people have apologized and no apology from the main offender.

"As he has told you before earlier in the thread".....he never makes a wrong statement and therefore has nothing to apologize for. Only us mere mortals make wrong statements and don't read his posts correctly.

Either say using the ratings guide is an unfair advantage or don't say that it is unfair (or inapt) to compare your managerial skill with someone who uses one. Saying both is bullpucky.

"Bullpucky," huh? I'm glad to say I've never heard that one before. Maybe my 9-year old will appreciate it.

Anyway, I don't have to make your nonsensical choice. I said ratings guides weren't an unfair advantage because they're not illegal; hence, they're not unfair. That doesn't change the fact they give an advantage over those who don't use them. So, while some comparisons can be made between those who do or don't use them, it is an unapt comparison to say a manager who uses them is better than one who doesn't; they are working from different places.

If anybody wants to address that on another thread, I will do so. However, the OP has requested we remain on the original topic. I'm surprised the posters above me chose not to do so. As I said before, I will let my previous posts on the advantages of using ratings guides stand on the matter.
