2007-2014 Franchise League - Frank is up then Load teams

John Garcia just posted about this set in his latest blog and mentioned the problem with Hudson and Hallady. Unfortunately he also mentioned that it would be a difficult fix from a coding stand point and suggests if anyone uses the set to police the errors themselves, which means we are on our own.

Not sure what you guys want to do.

Basically they weren't giving the same player id to players until the 2009 season. It's the 07/08 seasons that are messed up.

So I see the options here.

1. Ask for a 09+ set instead
2. If there is any discrepancy, share a screen shot of your draft card and we will give the right to who had him highest.
3. Let multiple players in
4. Out of ideas

It's simple enough to take a screen shot of your draft card after we draft. Share it and we can iron out anything that went wrong.

If not, seeing as strat won't change their 2007/08 databases, we can forgo the league if this is an issue

The easiest solution is make the set 2009+ as this will minimize conflicts. That is my 2 cents and it really is not worth that!

dropping 07 and 08 changes a lot. I don't want to lose those years.

what about just stating that there are no competitions over cards. whichever card is highest salary is where the player's rights go.

I definitely think we need to figure this out as it may require us to start the draft over... since we are only 5 picks in that may be no big deal.

I will wait for Geekor's decision before drafting.

I also do not want to lose 07/08/ I suggest we continue drafting and once the 12 teams are decided we can make a list of affected players and then go from there.

I'm also all for the screen shot idea, just need to know how to do it. also we'd need a way to determine ties.

I don't want to draft not knowing what rules we are playing (if 07 and 08 go away, that's a big difference). I also want to know how we are determining multi-franchise players.

and "making a list of the affected players" is not easy. I've found many already. What if we miss a few. even 1 can screw up your team. I though i had a guy's sole rights only to find out I don't cuz he had a 2nd card and that guy put him higher...because I didn't think I had to since I thought I had sole rights.

sorry...I'm gonna wait for a decision on this before picking.

To avoid any card conflicts for the sake of less confusion. High $$ card gets preference. That is as easy as it gets.

I am in favor of a players highest salary belonging to that franchise.

You could also include an additional card selection if they played for your team. Same rule applies that he can't be carded to any drafted teams.
