Franky, I've played a lot of bad fielders in rf and lf and I still can't tell how much it is hurting me. Of course I know I'm paying a price (and not just an increase in errors) but I just can't "quantify" it.

Joe, here's what it is costing you in LF in terms of opponents OPS allowed by the fielder:

LF-4 e16 : 0.333 OPS points
LF-3 e2 : 0.140 OPS points
LF-2 e10 : 0.138 OPS points
LF-1 e8 : 0.067 OPS points

So the following batters would perform equally from an OPS perspective:

LF-1e8 with a batting OPS of .667
LF-2e10 with a batting OPS of .738
LF-3e2 with a batting OPS of .740
LF-4e16 with a batting OPS of .933

The difference between the LF-1e8 and the LF-4e16 is .266 OPS points!!!!

Where do you get that math from?

Due to my periodic unavailability while dealing with my whining clients, I have hired on bigdinkent as my General Manager. He may be putting in our picks if I am out of range. Since we have picked mostly for the 90's thus far, and have no 60's players as of now, he will be evaluated specifically on the performance of that 60's team, which very well may have Dick Stuart as the centerpiece.

bigdinkent was part of the last mega draft. He never replied to my PM regarding joining up. Too bad.
