that's what I suggested to Frank and Jeep.

here's devil's advocate on that though: Strat changed their pricing in later years to value defense way more, thus some weird results of higher valued cards. look at Yunel Escobar for example

AND>>>> you still wouldn't know who had the highest valued card unless you knew there were 2 cards out there.

For example if I clicked on Halladay 11, I wouldn't even know that a Halladay 07 or 08 even existed.

that's a problem

and "making a list of the affected players" is not easy. I've found many already. What if we miss a few. even 1 can screw up your team. I though i had a guy's sole rights only to find out I don't cuz he had a 2nd card and that guy put him higher...because I didn't think I had to since I thought I had sole rights.

sorry...I'm gonna wait for a decision on this before picking.

and Jeep....I wanted St Louis :(

I disagree it would be hard to tell. We do this live draft set up our cards but don't enter the league. After we each set up our cards we go through each one of us goes through our teams and Che is our players. It's inky 25 guys for each team and in many cases less thN that. For myself I know Kershaw, Kemp, Puig, Ethier, Jansen and one of two others are already crossed off the list because they only played for the Dodgers.

Really do 't think it's that difficult.

Instead of clicking on Halladay '11 card. Search by his name all cards come up that way.

sounds good. make the list then. cuz I'd like to know before drafting my team. so far I've found a decent amount but I know there are plenty more

I thought Det, LAD, Bos, NYY, and STL were the top 5...now it gets tougher. especially without knowing exactly who might have a 2nd card lurking out there that you don't know about.

I'm trying to figure out a team. I'm looking team by team at their years. You want me to now go player by player as well. for all of the teams that are left???? I'd rather look at ATL by team and look at each of their years and see what they have, then to look at every player in the player search

Don't be that way. You really can't narrow your choi e down to two or three teams? I actually DID do exactly what I just said looked at 4 teams player by player to see what player I might need to draft from the un-drafted teams, and to see what positions I needed before I chose the Dodgers. My draft card is set I don't even really need the extra player.

You can't narrow it down to three or 4 teams you might like ? And go from there? You'll need to do it anyway to make the team fit the cap. You're really making it a bigger issue than it needs to be.

yes. I have it narrowed down to 2 or 3 teams and before I choose I'd like to know what Geekor decides we are going to do.

I don't think it was too tough with your pick as those top 4 or 5 were the clear top 4 and I had StL #5 (as did Jeep apparently)

If we decide to go to Highest salary gets the guy then that changes my pick entirely.

Funny cause my second choice for a team is still available and I was REAL close to going with that other team, the ball park actually swayed my decision.

Whoa...late to read the thread....6 pages!! Not sure what the issue is?

- Ironwill said there's only 2 Rivera seasons, but I see them all
- I see Halladay with 07-09 with Toronto and 10-13 with Philly

What am I missing here? Not meant to sound facetious, I'm just confused where the conflict is?

I've gone thru every team. I think those were pretty safely the top 4.

I was surprised at how good Tampa Bay is....Bartlett's big year is huge, plus a huge year from Pena. They just aren't quite good enough in starting pitching.

I've done a lot of work and just want the rules clarified before I pick. I think you're gonna be pretty happy with the Dodgers. Lots of big years and some huge years from guys that are only carded to you. I think they'll be good.

Anyway, hopefully Geekor will jump on soon.

I'm leaving for a couple hours, but will be back to pick tonight

keyzick.

here it is.

someone could put halladay 07 on their card (and get him) while another guy could put Halladay 11 on their card (and they'd get him too) they are entered as two different people.

same with 10+ others.
