Anyone always think they have a winner?

I swear after every waiver claim I think that I've mastered the game and assembled the greatest strat team in the history of mystery games.

By game 41 I'm generally ten games out of first.

I guess hope springs eternal and that is why we play the game.

15 seasons completed. 0 playoff appearances. And I always expect 120 wins, until Tuesday morning, Thursday at the latest.

For me the kiss of death after the draft and waivers is:

"Wow...I LOVE this team"

Not only do I think I always have a winner, I start projecting 110 win scenarios as soon as I get of to a quick start. Latest to fade-I thought I was on my way after catching good pitching very early:

Latest expected to win 110. Got swept after I read this post to fall to 11-7, but then picked up Morgan who pitched a shutout and climbed to 14-7. I see four twenty game winners and 110 wins in my future:

Good to see I'm not the only one

I did have one 109 win team. Lead in pitching and hitting. Had a dif of +338. My greatest team ever. Lost in the finals.

The two times I've won the championship, are the seasons I thought I was going to do poorly.

I'm always "expecting" that 1984 Tigers 35-5 start. I think my best to date is 13-5. But, my next team will be the one...

Yep, just like every par 3 in golf is going to be a hole-in-one!

Always - and the best part is the draft/waiver period!
FYI, a 70's League needs 4 - lets go!

Had a 105 game team that lost in the 1st round 3-0 ; scores 34-19!
Playoffs are too random.
