Wow, that is perfect! Maybe Scott Adams plays SOMO and is on the boards LOL. Sounds like he was inspired by l.persona !

The Dilbert cartoon is priceless. But then again I have been a fan of Dilbert for many years now. His treatise on Star Trek is my all time favorite though.

With pleasure, Freeman. Of course, you forget you were the one who hostilely initiated and kept hostilely continuing discussion with me. I certainly don't want any further discourse with you.

As to Coyote's cartoon/post he tossed out (as usual) without any support, it was actually an apt description of your posts, since you were the one who kept angrily attacking me. And, as I well showed in my previous posts, you were the one continually misrepresenting me.

Peace.

Ah, the old, "I know you are but what am I" defense. Are we sure we are not dealing with an adolescent junior high kid? Instead of backing up his viewpoint on ratings guides, he attacks another community member. If manager ratings included complaints logged against him to SOM, we all know little strethy would be the leader, regardless of how mediocre actual leagues results are.

Valen, were you a Bloom County fan too?

Did the question of Joe Maddon batting Starlin Castro 4th in the lineup because of ratings guides get settled?

Kind of OB guy, power guy, speed guy, power guy, whatever Rosales is, POWER guy, balanced guy, weak hitter, OB guy to finish. Is this lineup simply the unfortunate leftovers from injuries or does it make some sabr sense? Genuinely asking since there were several people making some sense out of the Starling/Cubs lineup for me.

go here:

you could use this year's partial stats, or maybe combine them with last year's, or whatever -- maybe try different line-up combos and compare

I suppose the handedness of the pitcher matters, too, but this can't account for that

Out of curiosity, I checked a Cubs boxscore (actually, it was a Tigers boxscore, they happened to be playing the Cubs). Castro was batting sixth. Perhaps the question is moot?

I found this on the internet:

But just how bad has Castro been in the four-hole? It lasted for 16 games, well, in 15 of the last 16 games, Castro batted clean-up, a total of 67 plate appearances. He slashed .217/.299/.233 with one double and four RBI in those situations.

Here's a link, Castro batting by lineup position:

LEAVE HIM IN THE 5 SLOT! Boy I love BBREF.com!!!
