Who is John Garcia?

Er, to stay on topic and answer the question: no.

He's the only guy from Strat to address the community in any way. Leaves a blog post almost every week. Most of the time they are fluff pieces but occasionally there is some useful information. Being as it's the only thing we hear directly from anyone working for Strat I read them.

Garcia's been doing them for 2 1/2 years and the link to them is on the regular Forum index. I'm surprised Blue Turtle has never heard of them or seen the link. Of course, he did think Larkin had better life-time stats than Jeter, so who knows?

This coming from someone who thinks the ratings guide provides an advantage over not having one....

Mr Strether please refrain from sending me private messages if you will not receive them back. If you send me one like the last one I will copy and paste it publicly. I have no desire to get involved with your board squabbles with other members. I'm not a moderator nor do I have any control over any other individuals except myself. I'm sure you will state this is the wrong place to address you, but your inability to receive private massages due to your choice of refusing all of them has forced my hand.

Thank you.

Mr. Niners, you probably should have made your own thread to do this instead of on this thread. I was going to turn on my receiving abilities for you and forgot. I also didn't think you would want to respond. I thought I was just sharing information with a friendly poster; I was clearly wrong. I have no desire for you to get involved with anything, nor asked you to do so, even though you chose to do so in the past. I will send you no more messages, just as you have promised to not hijack anymore of my threads.

Good evening.

Strether, this thread was started by me. However, it still does not make it my thread. Now back to the topic:

I would really like to play a regular old 80 million dollar/ DH/ 5-10-20 league with this set! This does not mean I am not interested in the various franchise themes.

There are so many cards I remember fondly. I also start to remember players and think to myself, whatever happened to him. So cool!

Regardless Rad, sorry to hijack it to air a personal greivance. Back on topic it is. A cool set and could have been cooler if the player were coded correctly. Good luck with the 80mil league with my keeper commitments I'm about at my Strat budget limit for the year unless I start turning some of my teams into championships and win some credits.

Sounds like a fun league - I'm in if you get one going...
