Auto Draft- Big Problems

Just last night in a new 2007-2014 league I missed on my first FIVE picks and my first 12 of 17. I got exactly 4 out the 14 position players I tried for.

I find this incredibly suspicious for several reasons. First this is with a brand new set that is very very large. Secondly, our draft was delayed several hours before it ran. And thirdly, I know there is a link that allows people to see the draft cards (or use to be). Seriously how do you miss on your first FIVE picks and first 12 of 17 when the player pool is thousands deep?

Maybe I am being paranoid, and of course I know I can (and will) fix my team but have you EVER missed on your first FIVE picks, even in a small set like the 1960s? I doubt anyone has.

I think you are being paranoid. But have you asked the rest of your league what their draft cards looked like? Send support an email and have them look at the draft. When I emailed them about our draft delay they did say to consider the set experimental and that there could be issues so maybe you have a right to be suspicious.

Radagast is complaining about the auto-draft again? I'm sure it's nothing. Radagast sometimes gets upset about the auto-draft and vents:

Okay I am done until the live draft is made available. I got EIGHT out of the 25 players I wanted. I want my money back. This drafting system is horrible. I waited a month for this B.S.????? I am so pissed. I am going to stay off the boards for a while. I was so excited for this team and now I am just disgusted. This is supposed to be fun, this ruined my day!

I got ONE pitcher and seven position players I wanted. ONE pitcher and seven position players the rest of my team is completely useless. How is that possible? How could this drafting system possibly be worse?

He came back to the boards once he relaxed and everything was cool. I'm sure the same will happen here.

Radagast, I know the player set is very large but one thing makes it smaller than it appears. That is they play by ATG rules which means there may be 8 different David Ortiz cards to look at and choose from but when one team drafts ANY Ortiz card all the rest are taken off the board so that there will only be one Ortiz in the league. I don't know if this fully explains your AD situation but it could explain some of your bad luck maybe?

Good point it will actually draft like a set not much bigger than a standard 200x set.

Too bad, I'd love to draft 8 Ben Zobrists. Did he ever catch?

If you drafted 8 Ortiz cards might be interesting to see what happens when Hal slots one of them in CF.

There are players that have 2 card sets and can been drafted by different teams. We had different Joe Nathans and Roy Halladays drafted.

Lmbombers and Radaghast both know that there are issues LM others was merely pointing out how the set is supposed to work and does work in most cases.

Thanks guys! You guys rock! I fixed my team. The competition in this league is fierce. I am not happy to have landed in DurantJerry's division, that Chipper Jones card scares me.
