My post wasn't a "guess;" it was a factual statement. You are free, however, to attempt to counter it.

Fernando's accomplishments were done vs teams that did not use the DH, its may have well been in the DH-era, but how many games did he pitch in when a DH was used? Perhaps it should have been stated as simple as Fernando pitched in the NL (I think most of know what that really means). Oh yeah, that is factual.

Yes, counter it; you don't know the meaning of the word? That's what you do if you disagree with something. Here's my post again.

"Referring to the DH era is just that: referring to the era after the DH was first implemented. It in no way restricts teams in that era to AL ones. And they trace it back to 1973 because that was the advent of that era, once Blomberg "played" the position. Here it is again."

You obviously agree, since you don't want to counter it. So, we can move on.

Can the term "DH era" be meaningfully applied to NL? I realize inter-league games complicate the question, but for the NL team vs. NL team matchups, there is no DH era.

Yes, it can. As I said above, the DH era just refers to the era beginning after the DH was first implemented. That covers a period when the NL teams played as well; the era didn't flicker off while the NL teams were playing each other. So, the DH era did (and does) exist for NL teams playing NL teams as well.

Not everybody played Jazz during the Jazz Age, either. However, the non-Jazz players still lived during that era, as well.

They should add the DH rule to the NL so both leagues can be part of the DH era.
