Congrats to Big A in winning his second championship and two of the past three.
Notes
- Big A, after making the plaoyffs only 3 rimes in 22 seasons has won two of the past three
- Semper had also overcome a similar stretch to win 2 of the past 4
- Between Semper, Big A and GB the league has gotten pretty boring. They have won 7 of the past 8 with only Corky breaking it up.
- By comparison the prior 8 seasons featured six different winners.
- MG continued the stretch of “rookies” making the playoffs with his appearance. 50% of the rookies since DT and zim joined in 2010 have made the playoffs
- The aforementioned duo replaced NP who, after participating in the first 25 is back for a one and done appearance.
- NP’s appearance will put him one ahead of Jeep.
- Stoney’s streak of four straight playoff appearances and three straight best records was snapped in nld 38.
- OTOH Smoke returned to the playoffs for the first time since he returned to the NLD.
- The best record hasn’t won since NLD 34 (Corky)
- Big A’s win was only the 7th championship for the 4th best record. First and second records are tied with 11 for the most. Third best has 9.
- GB was the only playoff team to repeat last time around. He’s made the playoffs 5 in his 8 years. If he had enough seasons to qualify he’d have the second best percentage. (The cutoff is 9 seasons, equivalent to three complete years)
- In terms of standard deviation and high and low records, it was a pretty average season although 90 wins is one of the lower high records.
Also, CONGRATULATIONS to former NLD player keyzick, champion of the 2014 Players' Championship!
