This one was a no brainer to load since player ownership rights are already established...in case anyone's trying to decide on player a v player b...plenty of time to work that out post-draft

Two to go now, boyos! I did get hung up - it was going to be now or later, but then am I missing something, or if a player who played for multiple teams gets drafted by "Team A", would they not be available for other teams in the draft??? Pardon my age and early onset - I kind of absorb the rules as we go along. Just ask Rob..............

A player can only be autodrafted by the team he played the most years for. Or, by the team who holds the tie-breaker in case of a tie for years played. After waivers if said player is available whomever grabs him has him unless dropped.

Too clarify for Chuck and the rest of our esteemed group ;-)

In the example of Reyes from the 1st post on the thread:

Jose Reyes, NYM '07-'11, MIA '12, TOR '13-'14;

In the autodraft, only the NYM can draft him and they can only draft his '07-'11 card.
If the NYM do not draft him, or draft him and then cut him, he can be picked up from the waiver pool by MIA and TOR ONLY.
MIA can only use his '12 card.
TOR can only use his '13-'14 cards.
Since the NYM did not get selected as one of the franchises, the AD preference would have gone to TOR.
Since none of the 3 teams were selected, Reyes will sit out this league.

Clarifying, a manager can only use a players card that is specifically carded to his franchise. In the Reyes example, only NYM, TOR, and MIA could use him in this league. MIA could only use his '12 card. Since those three franchises were not selected, Reyes won't be available in this league.

Yep, best to get to Chuck early in a league, he picks up speed once he figures out what he should have done LOL..
