Half of our league has emailed customer support....
And going back to my misunderstanding of how the set was created (I didn't know it was "by request", which I think was a great idea which could really be a marketing bonanza if worked properly), the following was a response which I received rapidly, to SOM's credit:
Hi Chuck,
The set was created for one league in particular with the caveat that there may be problems with the set. Other leagues are free to use this set as well but may need to work around issues with some players 2007-08 cards not matching their 2009 and later cards. So I'm mystified why it's taking so long to get a response to this problem. Not a good business model - to not respond at all to twelve players who have ponied up to play in a league which we're all clearly excited to being a part of. Shame on the company - and I hope there's a reasonable explanation for reasonable customers.........
