Just waiting for semper in the east my team is ready to load, beleive I'm in the Central.

BTW, the draft site will allow you to export an excel sheet showing exactly what players are available, very handy. That's a plus for this site.

I apparently drafted some guys early.

I took Neshek over Smith and Duke over Watson. Both of the guys I didn't take lasted until the very end. Hmmmmm, maybe I went too early on the others....

Was hoping to nab Amarista in the AD. Dang it Smokey!

Sent an email to Semper. i know he's super busy at work these days so.....

In any case, does anyone have any thoughts on AT's observation that this is a holiday weekend? Does that cause anyone consternation on making waiver moves over the weekend?

Bah! I believe in my drafting prowess, who needs stinking waivers anyhoo... But with that, IF we fill tomorrow, waivers are Friday.

I can hold off on entering my team till last if need be (yes, team is all ready to be entered, even by my sloth like live draft manners)

Just let me know, and I will do as needed. Fill tomorrow, waivers Fri, THurs waivers sat, Fri and its sunday.

Looks like we'll have a wait with AT

I think that the last 2 NLD's (37 and 38) are the only 2 drafts where I've kinda tried to do more or less the same thing. Everytime except for 38, I've had a vague idea as to what I wanted to do, and then kinda decided after the first few rounds what the theme would be.

I did get most of the players that I wanted, after I decided what I wanted to do, but I kinda decide how long I'm going to go with a particular block of picks, and then decide as I'm going along how far I take it, and when to switch to a new block of picks. My theme for this draft was to try to get nice high batting averages, and some good starting pitchers (unlike the last few drafts) that can minimize hits allowed. I'm looking to try to establish a strong differential in hits (for and against), with the idea that there is a strong correlation to run differential on that.

I'm also consciously abandoning the low $ starting pitchers, with a view to testing (in a negative way) my theory about 1 run games, and low $ starting pitching.

Always fascinating to me!! Looking forward to this NLD39!

Looks like Thurs till we start filling the West. Again, just let me know if we need to hold off on filling the league because of the Holiday weekend. I can enter whichever day you guys need me to.

And, as far as this draft went, I ended up with tons of Righty hitters. I NEVER go one sided, but alas.... SO, when it came time to choose a park, I ended up with a pitching park basically. Yup, thats not gonna help my run production at home. But my pen is DEEP! Lots of R2s, with Lobstein as a spot starter, but used mostly in relief also.

I find that with the 2014 set, I am losing lots of games late. Because of this, I went with the stronger pen, hopefully, that will change the tide for me in the later innings.

My starters, at points this season, will be 6 deep, with 3 *s and 3 non *s so, I should be able to manage my rotation on a series by series basis.

I dont expect the same success/luck i had in the first season. I just want to be competitive is all.

Plans? What are these plans you speak of?? You mean you actually think out ahead of time what kind of team you are drafting ?? Where's the fun in that?? No wonder my winning percentage is below 500 in this here league. Plans?, Who knew??

Oh and my team is in
