Wanted to do a different theme and the following is what my crazy mind came up with. I really think it'll be great fun.
Theme Name: Stormy Weathers
2014u set
$100m
DH
Prog Drops
Divisions not random
Parks are from your category: Escape or Cabin
Rules:
1. When signing up everyone pick where they will live. Either in a Charming Seaside Escape or a Rustic Log Cabin.
Those picking the Seaside Escape will use the 15 teams that border the Ocean or Gulf of Mexico.
Those picking the Log Cabin will use the 15 teams that do not border the Oceans.
Here's the list:
Seaside Escape:
1. Balt
2. NYY
3. Boston
4. TB
5.Tex
6. Hou
7. LAA
8. Sea
9. Oak
10. NYM
11. Atl
12. Mia
13. LAD
14. SFG
15. SD
Log Cabin:
1. Tor
2. KC
3. Minn
4. Det
5. Clv
6. CWS
7. Wash
8. Phl
9. STL
10. Pitt
11. CHC
12. Cin
13. MLW
14. ARZ
15. Col
So basically for the autodraft you are competing with 5 others Managers. 6 teams for one player pool and 6 for the other. Player pools as outlined above.
2. Fill out your autodraft card just as normal, except your pool with be from 15 teams, not 30.
3. After the autodraft and prior to waivers they'll be a Natural Disaster. For the Seaside Escape Owners a hurricane, and for the Log Cabin Owners a Tornado.
4. Two cities will be completely taken out in the Natural Disaster. Two randomizers will be done 1-15 for each side. According to the numbers above for each team whichever number comes up last in that randomization, that city will be wiped out and any players you had on your autodraft card from that city will have to be dropped during or immediately after waivers.
For example: In the Seaside randomization number 2 came in last. Therefore, any players from the NYY on the Seaside Owners draft card will have to be dropped and can never be on anyone's team. Same for Log Cabin Owners.
5. In addition, during the Natural Disasters there will be injuries or casualties. Based on the order that each Owner signed up 1-12 a Randomizer will be done. Whomever gets an odd number their highest salaried player on their autodraft card will perish. That player will have to be dropped ASAP and go into the free agent pool. Having perished that player is not eligible to be on anyone's team. Those who get an even number their highest salaried player will be rescued and can remain on their team.
For example:
I'll sign up 1st, so I'll have number one. When the 1-12 randomizer is done if that first number (after randomization) is even my player will be rescued. If it is odd my player will perish and have to be dropped. And so on 1-12.
6. Trade with your fellow category Owners only. A Seaside Escape Owner can not trade with a Log Cabin Owner. No crossing of lines so to speak for the entire league. You must Own players only from your 15 eligible Franchises.
7. Sign up in any Division as long as they're two Seaside and 2 Log Cabins in each Division. The 4th Owner in a particular division basically has his decision made for him. Incidentally, I'll pick last in the East to make sure I gain no advantages.
Theme Leagues seem to be less popular nowadays, so I hope this one fills up, I really think it'll be fun. Keep in mind when signing up you're putting yourself in a Division, so the East for example, will load first, and so on.
