Yeah, McCutch is off to a slow start, but it's early.

We did well in our division, but the West is kicking our ass. Losing the close ones v the West.

Hey guys in another league I'm in I'm seeing something pretty strange so I'm wondering if any of you have had teams like this:

We were 74-40 and we have since gone 13-26!  We went from 14games up to 2 up in that stretch. If we can just avoid getting swept in any of the last three series we should still make the playoffs as the WC. How do you go from playing .650 ball to going .333 over a 39 game stretch?

Any of you experience that?

Reminds me of the first Players Championship league I was in. My 51-30 first half team was 32-49 in the second half. The worst part was U. Jiminez's performance. After game 95 he was 14-8, with 4 shutouts. He then proceeded to be the losing pitcher in 14 consecutive starts and finished 14-22.

We went 13-5. We lost 2 to the second place team tonight (keeping up our .333 pace ) so our lead is 1 with six to play and he has the tie breaker because he's beat us 7 of 9 in this stretch. Crazy. Very much a sinking feeling.

Eovaldi (.96) has beat us the last two times he's pitched. (against Lynn tonight) That's just terrible. He's flat awful.

I mean we're still playing .565 ball and we'll make the playoffs. The second place team is playing now like we played eearly in the season, that's part of the reason the lead has disappeared. He's playing like .670 ball over the same stretch.

Continuing the saga of my AD team. We got swept tonight and now have completely blown a 14 game lead in less than 50 games. We are tied for first but, as I said, he has the tie breaker. This is the most baffling collapse I've ever seen.

Lost the first game by one run when he hit 3, count 'em, 3 1-4 bphrs. Dozier had 2 of them and also hit a 1-11 HR.

Game 2 we lost by a run and in the third game we left 14 on base and lost by 2.

I guess the good news is if we are going to keep to our .333 pace we need to win two in the final series. Of course, we will need the other team to lose 2 to still finish first.

Crazy. :?  :o

Well, after leading the entire season with my AD team we lost 2 of 3 in the final series to finish a game out and enter the playoffs as a WC. Just the weirdest thing I've ever seen in SOM.

We managed to split tonight and he lost Rizzo for the rest of the series so I like our chances of advancing, but they way this team has gone, who the heck knows.

Meanwhile in this league we've been doing pretty well and right on our pythag which I'll take!

Already down 8 in one-runners. AND the rolls are going against me. I have to ask "Is this team really this bad?" JTJ - any plans to show your team analysis - just to confirm my suspicion?

Spidey, I doubt that a team that is -9 in one run games is as bad as its record. I don't see any reason you should be the worst team in the league, but, perhaps not the best either. I haven't put in the actuals nor checked the lineups so I'd hate to post anything right now. The initial numbers I have for you are not bad and not awesome

Well, in the saga of my AD team, the playoffs were just like the regular season. We got out to a 3-1 lead and he was missing both Lind and Rizzo after the middle of game 2 and he came back to win it. We lost on a WP with my .50 pitcher on the mound because Hal is stupid. Without his two best hitters he hit .295 and we, after leading the league in hitting with a .272 average and facing a team that spent only 27.6 mil on pitching, managed to hit .218.

Not happy. AT ALL.

I hate this game.
