Assigned times seems to work well as you have surety and no need to check a bizillion times (some of us do still check a bizaliion times there should be a 12 step program or something.)
if folks know they'll pick between say 2 and 4 pm on Wednesday they find time or arrange proxies

Does anyone have contact information for splinter? It is not in the Googledoc (that I could find, anyway).

I am also growing weary of checking this thread a "bazillion" times a day.

Has anyone pm'ed splinter? If not I will do so.

Sorry for my long absence, again. I am going to have ed1447 or someone else take over as commish shortly, I do not have the time anymore to run things properly. I texted splinter, hopefully he gets back to me quickly. I will implement a time clock that will begin Monday morning, the clock will begin with calbatross's pick, due at 9:00 AM Eastern Monday.

Recker was just listed on the available players list by mistake, he is still on your roster nhsteven. I will have some time either today or tomorrow to update and fix the list.

Splinter texted me back, said he will try to get his pick in around 10 tonight. He has been traveling, He texted me a few days ago that he might not be able to pick quickly, again sorry I did not check in sooner and let you guys know.
