Sure. Saying a win is a win is NOT saying all wins are equal. There. Completely debunked in a baker's dozen worth of words. But that is not what this is about. This is about getting you the help you need. Like the guy on the corner, I just feel sorry for you. Get help.

The only one who needs help is you, Jeffrey. You've made that clear with your errratic, trolling posts like the one you just made. And saying a win=a win does not mean all wins are equal. it just means it only has its own objective value. I am so not surprised you didn't get that.

Maybe we're getting caught up in semantics.

1. Let's say the standings are based on total wins, regardless of when you get them (ie, you make the post season you can accumulate more wins).

2. The top 36 managers in terms of total wins (totaling the best 4 of there team performances), advance to the playoff rounds.

3. The 3 leagues that then play with those 36 managers then take on a "post season qualifier advances" format (ie, we no longer advance based on wins).

4. The 12 post season qualifiers from those 3 leagues advance to the Finals, where the winner takes all.

Of course, someone may want to argue with SOM that getting 4 baseball tickets for winning it all, is not ample enough reward over the runner up who gets 2 tix

I'll answer your points as you posted them.

1. Who says the standings have to be based on total wins? Is this the win accumulation tournament or the Player's Championship meant to reward significant achievements in a SOM season? A tournament actually reflecting SOM play and SOM values would be the latter.

2. Again, this tournament was never the Total Accumulated Wins Tournament. It's the SOM tournament, so we shouldn't necessarily just reward the accumulation of wins and not playoff achievements. Playoff achievements are significant ones beyond regular season wins.

3. We should keep the 36-team system regardless of what point system we use. Everybody seems happy with it.

4. Same with the final 12.

And you may have an argument about the Tourney prizes. Considering you were last year's winner, you would definitely be the one to make your case.


P.s. Toshiro, you have come onto this thread and done nothing but post 3 antagonizing troll posts without addressing the thread subject at all. Considering you only have 13 posts total, I suggest you grow up and try to be productive instead of childishly trolling. I'm sure you can do it. I read your last post, Toshiro. If you feel any of my posts haven't addressed the subject and were "mostly antagoinizing,' then do the grown-up thing and show me where. As you can see, the Commissioner is being very antagonistic, and a bit unstable.

Unlike some on this thread, I have politely made my arguments, as I have a right to do, and I have done a sound job doing them. If so many people hadn't been posting at me, I wouldn't have had to post a much as I have. So, go ahead, If you, or anybody, can show any of my posts that were just antagonistic, I will apologize. And if you can't, you owe me an apology.

Finally, all of my arguments are out there. If anybody disagrees with any of them, they are free to counter them. That's what grown-ups do. Too bad too many people on the thread would rather make pathetic personal attacks. Of course, that's pretty much all they can make...
