Actually, I prefer Harry's Giants/Rockies - Towering Titans ahead of your Phils/Rangers.

Still can't figure out why Harry didn't create a Native American team of the Braves/Indians.

I did think of it, Bernie, but I thought it would be too strong a combination. I tried to avoid matching two squads that had players from all four eras because there weren't enough to give every franchise two; there just aren't 24 franchises with those profiles. I was not able to avoid it entirely and then I tried to get the pairings in some combination that was in sync to the theme. That's why the "Sox" combo was formed; as the CWS are usually avoided in the franchise drafts, I thought it was the best choice to do that with hence the "Candy Cane Hosers."

The concept was enjoyable to try, but finalizing it was a bit like Rubik's Cube. Underlying everything was an attempt to get as much parity as possible, because everyone groans about getting pick #12; by keeping a few squads in the FA pool to go with the NeL players and then doubling the FAs for the bottom half I thought was the best way to accomplish that.

I'm back in now. I remember another draft with Thai Bill where he was across the date line and on a way different schedule than us. Maybe that's what's happening here.

Nope - but if you click on his profile, it states he last visited Thursday morning at 4 a.m. (big brother is watching, eh?)

As mueller states, if he is in different time/day zone from I'm guessing the rest of us in the USA, maybe Thursday 4 a.m. was yesterday, or is it tomorrow?

I've paged him on the ATG board; I hope he checks in so we can move to the FA draft.

Also, I'll be setting up the league as a "Frenzy" since our player pools will be established and so we can begin Monday if possible.

Will we do our free agent picks before the draft or after?

I've got the info ready to go, but must wait to see which franchise isn't selected so that those two squad's players can go into the FA pool.
