Even though I'm anxious to continue, I think we should give him the weekend. If no response by Monday morning (USA time) , then continue on.

It's hard to believe a potential manager would be upset that somebody else came in - if he were away for five days without any notice. JMHO

Thanks, guys, for your feedback; I'm of the same feeling. We're not going to be able to begin Monday anyway, so a little patience here is appropriate. I know sometimes our availability for this kind of league depends on schedules, so I hope none of our fellow GMs is inconvenienced by the delay. Let's think of it as "the pause that refreshes."

Fine by me...I think if Bill does sign up...maybe at the same time he can select his 1st second or third free agent choices in round 1 or send you a proxy Harry

Well, I hope Bill is OK, as this is unlike him to leave us all hanging. If he changed his mind, rather than leaving us in limbo for the next few days, I would hope that he would have the courtesy to let us know so that we could all move on.

I'm OK with waiting as well. I also hope Bill is OK. There was a lengthy delay in hearing from a manager in another league I'm a part of and it turned out the person was in the hospital with life threatening kidney issues, hopefully there is nothing like that going on with Bill as well.

Given what we know about Bill, and the fact he had just signed up for our league, something must have happened. Let's pray it's not as serious as the scenario Frank shared; perhaps it was a work or family commitment that popped up. I just can't believe a veteran manager would have such an abrupt change of mind so soon after we started; we all know these leagues take a little time to materialize even in ideal circumstances.

We'll just keep checking in.

Update! I just received a PM from a veteran owner who is interested in our league and he's also in a league with Bill; he says he was active in it and he suspects he's just very busy. I hope that means we'll see some movement now that we're into the weekend.
