In your example above - only the Giants (Towering Titans) can play Barry Bonds since they are the high card holder. Can they use any of his cards (including the Pirate card) or just "the high card?"

okay...Makes sense Maddux is a free agent?.............

Harry: Regarding the highest priced card controlling, what happens if the highest priced card of a player is a free agent, but he has a card with another team that is in the league? Does the highest priced card on the team in the league control? For example, A-Rod's highest priced card is with Texas. If Texas doesn't get picked, do the Yankees then own the rights to A-Rod, or is A-Rod a free agent?

In response to BDWard's question; if the Rangers squad isn't picked, ARod is a free agent. Because his high card belongs to Texas, their non-selection makes him part of the FA pool by league rule. For this league's purpose, only a player's high card matters; if he played for one other or five other squads it is immaterial for us.

Harrry...I noticed Mueller...stated Maddux...but technically isn't Maddux associated with Cubs since he has card for them or are the players the wild card group free agents unless they have the highest card ie Lajoie high card A's?

Vinnie: Based on Harry's response to my prior question, which used A-Rod as a hypothetical example of the highest priced card not being on any selected team, it would appear that Maddux is a free agent, since his highest priced card is not on any selected team

Yes, Maddux is a free agent, since his high card is as a Brave; for our purposes no other affiliations matter.

Also, Duffy is a Brave also - listed as such under "Braves Deadball - and is also a free agent.

Lajoie belongs to the Athletics.

Just noticed Jeff's question on cards... once a franchise controls a player, any of his cards can be used.
