Changing stadiums

PostFri Aug 14, 2015 10:43 pm

Surprised I've not seen this brought up. Like to see as option... You try to draft a power team, pick a power stadium and the you do bad in the draft: most your power players you wanted are replaced by more balanced or worse players, e.g., you try to draft Stanton and get Werth, etc. Maybe add get a new stadium to the waiver process?

I used to think the same thing, and I also have been stuck with teams that no longer fit my stadium. The problem with letting people re-pick their stadiums, is it makes that re-picking a second "gaming" as people would try to outguess their league-mates. I assume that's why they don't do it. That being said, they do allow us to do it after live drafts, so, I wouldn't object if the majority of players wanted it.

I agree - that's the reason.

I agree - that's a good reason.

I used to be among those who disagreed with changing stadiums, but I think it's time now. Too many times myself, and others I've talked to wished they could change stadiums after the autodraft.

I have a suggestion that rather than picking a park when loading teams we simply do not pick a park (yet) and give us until Midnight Sun evening (Mon morn) to lock in our park. That's One full day we have to adjust strategies based on our competitors park choice.

Less preferable, but acceptable for me, give leagues that option.

Even though that has happened to me many times, I still don't agree with it. That only matters when drafting a highly skewed park. By taking a highly skewed park, and getting players that are great values for said park, gives you and advantage over any neutral park. By going with a skewed park, you take that risk/reward when it comes to the autodraft.

I don't want parks to be chosen after.

Make it an option on the league set up page. DH or NO DH, Salary cap, frenzy or waivers, stadium change allowed in preseason. Simple

My take is that changing BP should be an option for 1 day after the autodraft. The waivers are day 2 so everyone can adjust accordingly.

I agree that you should absolutely be able to change your stadium post auto draft!

My preferences would be, in order:

1. Pick a stadium pre-draft, no changes.
2. Pick a stadium post-draft, before waivers run.
3. Pick a stadium pre-draft, one change made before waivers run.
