Bet there will still be a few more nominations, and am guessing multiple from a few folks.

Some prophecies take a while to come to pass but in the end a true prophet is always right.......
5 months after nominations end and the players have been added......

I vote 2008 MVP Dustin Pedroia
2013 Max Scherzer

I guess this all means I am WAY too late to nominate Josh Hamilton

been jonesin' for the '10 some day, but could make do w/ '08 or '11

and I hope I live long enough to see Dick Ellsworth '63 get in never enough strong LHSPs

I got Billy Grabarkewitz in ATG 8 and i'm not even a Dodgers fan (even though apparently someone wants to use 2 of him at once... nominating him again, well, he is a 2 at two IF positions)

time to forgive Billy Buckner too... that '86 card of his sucks... '80 or '81 or '82, OR '72 or '74 OR if you must be a stone RedSox fan, '85

Yeah I'd like to see the Buckner card again when he was a 1 in LF. Was that 74?

Totally agree!! I think we had this conversation before about Buckner; the real villains of Game 6, Calvin Schiraldi (2 cards) and Bob Stanley (3 cards) have multiple. And Stanley, who wild pitched in the tying run, really threw Buckner under the bus to the post game media - I always hated that jerk!! ;)

Billy was just trying to make Leon Durham feel better...

I never warmed up to him when he was a Cub, but he deserves better here, imnsho

and, yes, I am thinking that year when he could still move and was an lf 1 would get some use.

This nomination thread is not active. But I agree on Buckner and others...............

I am more interested in PLAYERS than cards. Maybe because I play many Franchise leagues and tend to play 80-120m caps when not playing franchise leagues, but I want to see some players who deserve a better card than they currently have.

How about Rusty Staub's 1969 card? 1980 Bill Buckner? 1937 or 1938 Harlond Clift? 1937 Dick Bartell? 1989 Lonnie Smith? 1945 Tommy Holmes? 1977 Larry Hisle? 1976 Bob Watson? 1978 Dave Parker? 1991 Bobby Bonilla? 1944 Bill Nicholson? 1971 Willie Davis? 1952 Hank Sauer? 1950 Earl Torgeson? 1961 Joe Adcock? 1971 Willie Montanez? 1986 or 1991 Joe Carter? 1993 Carlos Baerga? 1947 Grady Hatton? 1979 or 1983 Larry Parrish? 1983 Lloyd Moseby? 1971 Bill Melton? 1970 Cesar Tovar? 1977 Dan Driessen? 1956 Charlie Maxwell? 1972 Lee May? 1937 Beau Bell? 1989 Howard Johnson? 2005 Michael Young? 1960 Pete Runnels? 1960 Bill Bruton? 1968 Glenn Beckert? 1993 Lance Johnson? 1954 Granny Hamner? 1959 Harvey Kuenn? 1936 Joe Kuhel? 1941 Nick Etten? 1989 Fred McGriff? 1940 Rip Radcliff? 1975 Jorge Orta? 1963 Tony Taylor? 1953 Mickey Vernon? 1926 Johnny Mostil?

Pitchers: 1978 Doug Bair, 1984 Charlie Lea, 1958 Ryne Duren, 1990 Bobby Thigpen, 1991 Mitch Williams, 1986 Danny Cox, 1996 Jeff Brantley......

If you play high caps, these additions probably wouldn't interest you. Again, I'm more interested in the players and the history.

This is one reason I'd like to see a 5-year waiting period like the Hall of Fame for adding cards. There are some great cards from 2010-2014, but they aren't going anywhere. Let's fix some of these first.

To Andy's list I would add 1959 Joe Cunningham (no card at all yet) and 1961 Wally Moon (a better Dodger card than his 1954 ROY Cardinal card).

I heartily concur with Andy's post. I'd also add these players who already have cards but should have better ones from these years : Matty Alou, Donn Clendenon and Gene Alley all from 1966, Rennie Stennett from 1977 and Bob Moose from 1969.

How about Sandy Koufax' best card (66)?
