Thanks for the info Andy. I'm curious as to why they'd want to add the '32 Phillies (of all the teams they could choose).

From what I looked up of those players, it barely seems that holding up our league another week to have them available was worth it (the hitters in '32 were all bench players, and the pitchers are nothing special either)

Judging by stats alone(haven't seen any cards), looks like there might be 4 or 5 upgrades among position players. AND...I'm cool with waiting a week as it gives us some seperation from ALT 2.0 (for 6 of us).

Ah, I was just going off the new players. Wish I'd have known about the '32 Phils being added, or I'd have taken (hopefully) at least one of those.

Where was it announced that the '32 Phils were being added (and why)?

There was a community vote to add one of 3 Prewar teams that might help some of the Prewar Franchise Sets. 32 Phillies beat out 26 White Sox and 40 Browns.

GOLDEN AGE PROCEDURE FOR ALT3.0
Each franchise may choose to draft TWO Franchise Players at the expense of their First Round Pick in the Entry Draft in a particular season. This option is allowed ONCE from Season #2 through Season #8 and TWO times from Season #9 to Season #17 (CANNOT USE THIS OPTION IN CONSECUTIVE SEASONS).

Due to the Commissioner's decision that PJMB's Athletics and George barnard's Senators have already missed their window for any good Golden Age options through Season #8, I will allow those two managers to receive a supplemental pick AFTER the FIRST ROUND of ONE DRAFT from Season #4-Season #8. They must announce this decision BEFORE the draft begins in which they intend to use the pick.

Anybody need outfielders?? I'm looking to package LF Riggs Stephenson(1 season left), CF Kiddo Davis(2 seasons left, new 1932 card) and 2nd round pick for a mid-late 1st rounder.

Each manager will select one player carded to his franchise who began MLB play during the years 1930-1934. This player must be carded to your franchise and will be designated your Franchise Player.
Any players carded to more than one team will be assigned to the team that holds the highest $$ card, unless otherwise assigned.
