Dave, I AM blocked by l.persona . Thinking of starting a league of blocked managers, but SOMO largest league size is only 24 so we would need multiple elimination rounds.

The gospel according to Strether. That sounds funny. Actually, I find this antagonistic relationship with I Almighty very amusing. Honestly, I enjoy a lot of the info I posts. It saves me a lot of research. But this back and forth stalker, having to be right at all costs and offend everyone wreaks of egostroke.

1. Everyone is entitled to their opinions.

2. As long as posts are not mean spirited, they should be allowed without hostility.

3. Everyone who gets into this interaction knows in advance what is going to happen. So we all have a choice to respond or not.

I think I.S.'s real hobby is yanking everyone's chain and everyone else's addiction is responding to it. Maybe the best thing is to not engage after he reacts to your post(opinion). Then you take away his power and all the threads become very short.

The gospel and I Almighty references were only to an earlier post in this thread, which made me laugh. No offense intended to IS or anyone else. And as stated, I definitely enjoy a lot of the info he posts. But the back and forth reactionary posts are a real circus show for outside observers. Oftentimes, I will read posts about IS in our actual leagues. At least we all have to admit - He gets our attention.

Peace out all my Strato Bros. :) ;) RV

ROBERTVOZZA, it's ironic you talk about gospel, then you erroneously preach without providing any support... ;)

You're also sadly ungrateful. When you asked me on another thread about music in the 2000's, I made a list with actual youtube links, and sent it to you. You pay me back that kindness by straight up lying about me on my thread, without giving any evidence to back up your erroneous claims, without contributing anything to the topic. That doesn't speak well of you at all. Here are the actual facts;

1. I wrote a well-thought out, peaceful post about this year's best rookies. There is nothing contentious about that. So, your rudely saying I'm "pulling people's chains" is both rude and complete nonsense. Nobody has to respond to my threads. And if they can't politely address the topic, they sure shouldn't. You and your friends sure didn't. That makes you the ones at fault.

2. LakeviewDave, Robert LaTorre, Stoney, and now you came on this thread only to hostilely troll and without addressing the topic politely. The only "back-and-forth" stalkers have been Lakeviewdave and RobertLatorre who have continued to stalk me around and troll my threads. The fact you said nothing of that also speaks poorly of you.

So, here's a real suggestion to you and the other trolls. If you don't like my threads and my responses, and can't be polite when you come on--and you certainly haven't been polite--stay away from them. I post for my enjoyment and the possible enjoyment of other posters who might want to read and politely respond. That doesn't include you Robert. So, I ask you to keep your negativity and trolling away as well.

P.s. I heard about your new cab. I hope you have been enjoying it.

Hey IS, I have to be brief. But I sent you an apology to your private box. I can see where I could be misinterpreted, because this may look like an attack on you personally, which it wasn't. So in case you didn't get the message, I will leave it here. The refs to Gospel and I Almighty were to a previous post by Robert L which struck me funny. And the rest of the post was for EVERYONE who engages in antagonistic verbage unnecessarily.

1. I enjoy your Threads - Which are informative and sometimes entertaining.

2. Others may disagree, but I think your intentions when giving advice are probably sound. But I also think some people become offended because they feel condescended to because of the EMPHATIC manner in which it is given. Grown men will generally react defensively when this occurs. We are not all as stupid as you may think. And so these back and forth reactionary responses occur.

3. I am not easily offended, so I just let it roll off. And it is seldom if ever intended on my part to offend. So I genuinely apologize for any perceived offense.

4. My post was intended for all those who get their chain yanked and choose to engage in this ongoing battle. And I agree that everyone has a choice to join in or not. I do observe this occasionally both here and in Leagues I am in and offer the same suggestions I did here. Maybe I was incorrect in thinking you do this on purpose and enjoy it. But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

5. I was only reacting to the reactions and posing a suggestion, while being amused by some of the humor I perceive in these posts.

So I offer you my apology to anything you perceived as offensive. I was actually not taking a side. So keep posting your informational threads without any grief from me. I do enjoy most of them. Hopefully this clears the air.

Happy Posting, RV :) ;)

Thanks, Robert,

I appreciate your apology; that was a classy thing to do.

I will just respond to #2, since I think doing so would be productive, then we can move on. Firstly, I'm not giving advice about baseball; I'm just giving my opinions based on my knowledge. Secondly, if people think I am saying something too emphatically, all they have to do is politely tell me so. That being said, grown men should be able to handle emphatic opinions if they are expressed politely. That's part of what makes us grown men.

Anyway, this did clear the air, and I look forward to seeing you on future threads, whether or not they're mine.

Thanks IS, I don't use the message boards that often.I was just looking for info on how to manage my bullpen better in the super advanced game. I still don't get the Fatigue settings,so I just don't use them. But I saw your thread about the rookies and found it very informative as I don't get to read or watch sports center that often.

Then I read all the responses and Robert L made me laugh. My response was primarily about the humor and when I responded, it was more about how so many people react to each other and I was actually hoping to lighten it up a bit.

Where I grew up on the East Coast in the 50's through the 70's, I didn't think I'd live to be 20, let alone 62. And I have been blessed to still be here after so many life threatening situations over the years. That's why I don't really sweat the small stuff. I have always attempted to be a goodwill ambassador here at SOM Online, but sometimes it turns out to work in reverse. But this is mild compared to the Boards when TSN managed them.

There were some brutal, passionate moments there sometimes. If you've been around since 2002, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Back then I had a lot more time to post, but long hrs allow me to play only 1 team at a time and so I only have time to read a few posts here.

I am always willing to apologize to keep peace with others who play here. I re read what I posted and could definitely see where I nay have made you feel singled out when in fact, it was more about all the back and forth antagonism I read and meant for everyone involved. I prefer not to get involved in it. I ended up getting a rare night off, so I had time to respond.

Your response actually made me think about my choice of words and how it could have easily been taken offense to. So thanks for accepting my sincere apology. Clear communication actually helps us to get to understand each other better.

Schwarber if he continues will have a monster card against RHP and not usable against LHP.

I don't know. Bryant has been good, even very good but not a lock on ROY depending on your priorities. Osuna was a little late to the part as a closer but has been impressive. A lot of where you rank him probably depends on how much you value closers. Opinions vary widely. All I know is you have a good one you have a chance. If you do not you are in trouble and might as well go on home. So assuming continues as he has definitely deserves to be in the discussion of top rookies.

No matter what, I think it's been a banner year for rookies. I don't know that I can think of a season where so many rookies made such a big impact at the same time.

In the AL, I think Correia Wil take the ROY, followed closely by Sano, Lindor, and Osuna. In any event, it'll be exciting to see how all theses great rooks develop (or not) over the next few years.
