yep, I thought Cinci was gonna go Franco and Myers and screw the Mets. Marshall is an interesting pick, and a nice player to lock up for the Reds. course the reds might have just not wanted 2 lefty relievers at that high of a price.

As you can see from the way everyone is picking this up nicely....the restrictions on player picks are reset for round 2 (i.e. for teams that "lose" 2 players in one round).

So there are currently no restrictions.

To reset the discussion, you can pick any player carded to your team, or any player carded to the Rangers or White Sox, at this point in round 2 of the draft.

As we work through each round, keep in mind that you need to identify 15 players on your team for the first 15 rounds of the autodraft. Also keep in mind that your 5 round player draft selections MUST be placed in your first 5 slots in your autodraft list, so the players you are picking must be part of your initial 15 core players, in those first 15 slots in the autodraft. So, be careful not to pick a player in the 5 round draft, unless you plan on making him one of your top 15 picks for the autodraft. If you are a rich team with lots of good players carded only to your team, you might want to think about picking them, as we get into the fourth and fifth rounds, so as not to inadvertently pick a player (in this 5 round draft) that you don't want to even include in your top 15 slots in the autodraft.

Remember that full free agency begins with the 16-25 slots in your autodraft list.

Also remember that any players that are carded to other teams are somewhat vulnerable in slots 6-15 of the autodraft, since the other team that they are carded to might be also putting them in slots 6-15 of the autodraft. So it's a delicate balancing act as we get into the 4th and 5th rounds of this player draft, between making sure you get the dual-carded players you want, but not "fringe" players who you don't even want to include in your top 15 selections in the autodraft.
