Ortiz 500 HR = HOF?

Full time DHs have more impact on team wins over the course of a season than modern closers do, even great ones.

Firstly, impact isn't the only issue, since that doesn't negate Dh's are still part-time non-pitching players.

This was a topic on MLB network this morning, and all four panel members said that Ortiz should be in, Edgar too. I'll take the opinions of these four guys over Dick Stretcher any day of the week.

So now you are going to separate DH's from pitchers? Why is that, so you can state more bogus opinions? Pitchers are part-time players, and from your arguments they should not be in the HOF either.

As far as supporting claims, when you start supporting ALL your claims, perhaps the rest of us will do the same. Frank Thomas hit 250 HR as a 1B and 271 as a DH or PH. Apparently those 271 HR did not help his team much since he wasn't playing 1B so I guess he got into the HOF based on those 250 other HR he hit. Interesting.
