Maybe it has been said earlier (I skipped a few pages), but perhaps DH specialists don't get voted in on the first ballot as the "penalty" for not being a fielder.

Firstly, impact isn't the only issue, since that doesn't negate Dh's are still part-time non-pitching players.

Secondl, you haven't supported your claim at all. To do so, you need to show just how Dh's make a greater "impact" than modern closers. I look forward to your at least attempting to do so.

Ditto as I said earlier all his pontificating, no matter how well supported amounts to nothing more than hot air and his opinion which is as valid as anyone else's. The voters will decide in the end.

Little Stevie can take anyone's opinions he likes. Considering he has such difficulties making his own arguments, that's clearly the best he can do.

And, Niners, since I actually logically supported my arguments, the one who has been pontificating has been you. And your gabbing about me is pretty pathetic after all your fuss last night. If you actually want to stop exchanges between us, you really should give it a rest... ;)

So now you are going to separate DH's from pitchers? Why is that, so you can state more bogus opinions? Pitchers are part-time players, and from your arguments they should not be in the HOF either.

As far as supporting claims, when you start supporting ALL your claims, perhaps the rest of us will do the same. You cherry pick only the one ones you want to and the rest, well, you just quit on them as you have nothing to back them up, and this happens time and time again. I am not going to take the time to copy and paste pages like you like to do, you know where they can be found, you know how to do that right?

Speaking of pathetic, gabbing, and fuss here come's a pink bar signifying more of Davey's ravings. I have no time for those, so, I'm off for coffee... ;)

Typical response, take the rest of your life off, and don't come back, these boards will be better off without you around.

Furthermore, who the hell cares where you are going, no one here does.

Hey l.dickhead you should learn to read before you stick your foot in it again.

Please continue your support for Dave's ravings, Robby. Considering he didn't back up a single erroneous thing he said, it shows you're as clueless as he is... ;)

Frank Thomas hit 250 HR as a 1B and 271 as a DH or PH. Apparently those 271 HR did not help his team much since he wasn't playing 1B so I guess he got into the HOF based on those 250 other HR he hit. Interesting.
