Golden Era NL West is loading! And then the autodraft!

As long as all of us get our 1-15 picks correct we should be fine. Example: If someone missed seeing a free agent pick by someone else and drafted that player in round 16 the original team should still get them if they made that player one of their first 5 picks. I am sure that like most of you my 16th pick (and maybe later ones too) is an attempt to poach....I mean select a player carded to another team that I think may not be a top 15 pick. If I accidently made one of the drafted free agents my 16th round pick that would simply be a wasted pick for me. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I believe your correct in terms of the practical consequences of making a mistake. But i encourage everyone for every pick after slot 5 on the autodradr, to make sure that you avoid picking someone in the 5 round draft. It's hard to predict what effect an "oopsy" could have, especially with slots 6-15. You're right, Carl, if you make an oopsy in slots 16-25 it's probably just a wasted pick, but lets be as careful as we can be with the autodraft. See the instructions above.

Description: Geoff's Golden Era League. Slots 1-5 are players picked in 5 round draft. Autodraft rankings (slots) 6 to 15 MUST be players carded to your team and NOT picked by ANYONE in the 5 round draft. Slots (rankings) 16-25 in the autodraft can be carded to ANY team but cannot have been picked in the 5 round draft. Divisions load in historical divisions, with the exception of the Milwaukee Brewers, who have been assigned to the American League West. DH is used by both AL and NL.

So to be clear I have my team ready to load. I will make a copy of my draft order and send it to Geoff after the draft is complete. I see that the AL central is loading right now so we are SURE that if I join now I will be placed in the correct division later?

No. I'd rather load correctly in the right divisions if possible. It's only Tuesday, and this is a dedicated experienced group. Let's get it done quickly but orderly please. Loading historical Al West (including Milwaukee) now, followed by historical NL East, followed by historical NL west
