He is like one of those dolls with a string you pull and he says something over and over. The strether doll only has a few sayings such as "You cannot change my mind because I have already said otherwise.", "You are wrong and I am correct", "We both used stats. Mine prove I'm correct and yours are meaningless" and other similar sayings. This doll can be used on any baseball topic you can think of.

Oh I know all about l.stalker, has been well documented in these boards recently. I and everyone else knows that he reads posts even when he puts them on ignore (he himself has stated that in other threads). So l.stalker can go whine like he always does or just will leave and give his lame excuse because he has nothing to counter with. He's a coward, cannot handle when he is wrong in everyone's eyes except his own of course. He cherry picks everything, so nothing is a surprise with the stalker. He has shouted his mouth off way too often and when he has nothing to back up his statements he walks. Its been well documented about the ratings guide for example (one that he states he never used), to many others, and now the Ortiz and HOF. It will never end unless everyone ignores all his posts or he goes and hides forever.

Hey, Stevie. Just because you told everybody you didn't graduate college doesn't mean you have to keep on proving it.

here's my take. he has 3 things working against him.
as a DH he must hit slightly better than the traditional HoF thresholds that have been established.
these same thresholds are now moving due to the bloated numbers of the steroid era.
he has a positive test, which requires him to be an even higher percentage above the new (unofficial) HoF thresholds.

working for him is playoff glory and a larger than life personality. "big papi" is an icon for the sport and should be enshrined to allow future baseball fans to recognize him. hopefully imo he will rack up another 50 or more dingers to make it an easier vote.

College isn't for everyone, you going to put down Bill Gates as he did not graduate college either, and last time I checked he is pretty successful. I'm confident you are not even close to be as successful as Bill Gates is, but you can prove if wrong if you have the balls to do so.

It occurs to me that l.strether is a lot like David Ortiz. He's all about taking offense and can't play defense for shit.

I tend to agree with everything, except that the DH has a higher hurdle. Some players do more harm than good in the field and actually hurt their team. Frank Thomas became a liability at 1B mid-career thus moving him to DH took care of that. I do not know how many more years Ortiz will play, but if he plays 2 more that should get him to 550, baring injuries and that should be more than enough to get into the HOF, I would say highly likely not on first ballot but in the first 5.

Gee, Nasty, that was the exact type of one-liner I would expect from you: vulgar, childish, and completely unsupported.

If you would actually like to show where I failed to "play defense" in any of my posts, please do. The one thing you've proven you can't do for shit is back up anything you say... ;)
