Newb Question

In my very first online league. We go to the waiver in 4 hours. I think I understand the waiver process, but what happens after? If I don't get someone in the waiver because he goes to someone else, I may be left with a player or players on my team that I don't want. Is there a grace period after the mass waiver time that allows me to drop and add the free agents WITHOUT a penalty? If not, do I just need to figure out a way to shed salary now and put it in the bank for later?

Any tips for a new player in managing the process?

after waivers run, you have until the beginning of the first games on Monday night to make any changes you want with no cap penalty. after first games run there is either a 20% penalty or a progressive 5%-10%-20% penalty depending on what your league is set up as.
