For the board game! YES!

I remember very clearly me and my buddies pooling our newspaper delivery money to buy a full league of teams, we each got to keep our favorite division at the end of the year LOL

Yes, I meant the board game. I sort of stumbled into the online game by accident. Non-existent marketing by SOM is one reason younger players aren't here.

Never heard of Strat until I stumbled across the online game in 2009.

On the other hand, my buddies and I had a great time with the APBA board game back in the '50s!

I started with APBA, played draft leagues with the neighborhood kids when I was 11, also played Cadaco All Star Baseball, where I learned who Nap Lajoie and Roger Bresnahan were. Played till I was about 15 or so, then became "to cool" for a baseball board game! lol Did not discover Strat until around 35 or so when a co-worker introduced me to the board game. Played travel leagues for about 7 or 8 years...travel to one guys house and roll dice for 5 hours. Did not discover online game until I divorced my 1st wife and married my current wife (who by the way calls strat "baseball porn" ), about 5 or so years ago. Just turned 60 this year, so I'm on the old end of the demographic.

Yup, played APBA football, too. I remember having great luck with settings for wide-open passing attacks. But then, I grew up watching Bobby Layne lead the Lions to their last title (before he cursed them).

In looking at your poll title, Rob -- Card carrying AARP member or not ?!?!? -- it looks like the AARP magazine would be a great place for Strat to advertise!

I would like to see this poll in the 20XX forum. After all ATG appeals to old chunks of coal.

Well, the older the chunk of coal, the sooner it gets to be a diamond, eh?
