Hadn't thought about it, but yes since they date from that time period.

BTW in a strict 4 man *starter rotation, your required 5th starter must be priced below 2m, as if he is a pure reliever. The only exception is if you carry only 3 *starters (over 7m) you may carry 2 non-*starters who must be priced over 5m.

Its been about 10 days, we have 6 signed up and are looking for 6 more brave souls. I'm not sure how long to leave this out here hoping for enough managers to make this work as a 12 team league. Any of you guys who signed up, do y'all wanna try a 6 team league if we don't get any more signups?


80m, auto-draft, no DH, waivers, 5-10-20 drop

The idea is to construct teams with starters good for 9 innings, bullpens of leftovers (with the occasional gem) and teams built on the fundamentals of speed and defense, with maybe a bit or power in the middle of the lineup (or not). Here are the rules:

1. Starting rotations can be 4 or 5 pitchers. If a 4 man rotation is used 4 *starters must be worth at least 7mil each, if a 5 man rotation is used 5 non* pitchers must be worth 5mil each. If you choose to use a couple of swing men who will start and relieve between starts they must be worth at least 5mil each.

2. All reliever only pitchers must be priced below 2mil and must be rated R2 or more, no R1's may be used.

3. Each team is allowed only 1 player who hit 30 or more homers in his represented season, all other players must have hit no more than 15 homers in their represented season.

4. You may only use ballparks that are pre 1940.

Mike, I'm up for the six-team deal; I think at this point further interest seems unlikely, so I think six is a better alternative to abandonment of the concept.

Was only posted 10/06. Have not done 6 team league, but at first glance, it does not have much appeal.

This is pathetic that we can't get 12 people together for a great theme like this. This game is dying!!!!! SOM please do something to generate interest before the patient dies!!!!! Lower the damn price for one thing. Cut the price down to 9.95 to generate some interest. PLEASE DO SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!!

Ed, take it easy, don't hurt yourself screaming at the powers that be, they're not listening anyway! We're gonna wait at least until tomorrow so we know what the consensus is regarding a 6 team league... so far 1 for, 1 against. Ken, I have never done a 6 team league either and this probably would be a lousy format to try it, but if 5 are willing, I'll give it a go.
