Well then you couldn't drop the "i" you would have to choose another letter.

Since Bombers must take an "A" we can continue the draft...

Be mindful of the cap though. As if you run out of cap space, and are forced to draft a player you can't afford, you will have to drop another player to make room for it. This rules used to state your most expensive player, but I find that too harsh and will deem it to be one of your top 5 players (in salary)

For example, say I can't draft a player due to cap space. I drop Donaldson. Do I replace Donaldson with another "D" player and then draft a player on which letter I'm on? Exactly how will this work.

Yes, you would drop letter for letter. So say you run out of cap space and Donaldson is one of your top 5 salaried players. If you really don't want Donaldson, it may behoove you to try to get to 90 mil ASAP so you can drop him. That would be sneaky, but within the rules.

If there are 5 rounds left and you have 2.5 million left, why would drafting any player over .5 million be allowed? It comes down to what is meant by being "forced to draft a player you can't afford". I can see "being forced" when low on cash due to prior draft choices and getting stuck without enough to get that last cheap player (I planned to spend .5 on a second catcher, but the only one available is .78). Choosing players you can't afford so you can drop one or more top 5 players at the end is not being "forced", but it is a strategy.
