More Rusty Staub!

Rusty Staub is one of the guys who need card expansion in upcoming rounds. "Le Grande Orange" lives forever. Look at his 1967, 1969 and 1971 seasons!

I'd really like to see one of Rusty's earlier seasons added, too - any of those listed would be good choices. He also had a couple of respectable seasons with Detroit later in his career, but my personal prejudices would be happier with one of his Houston years.

I really became conscious of Rusty only once he rejoined the Mets. (though now that I think of it, I must have seen him when the Mets played the A's in 1973 -- next to Willie in the outfield). It is hard to imagine him at age 22 or 23 when he was with Houston in '66 and '67. Rusty could never be 22 years old...he was always 40.

Can we add Bob Bailey's 1970 season to that list too? For a young Expos team it was a very magical and captivating year, and deserves to be recognized. No, it NEEDS to be recognized!

have been Jonesin' for that '67 card for a while, that was a year of low BAs across MLB, so that .333 should have a lot of hits and considering it was in the Astrodome, a little pop - I seem to recall a single-sided basic card w/ a full Honner on 3-4
