What are the add drop penalty rules for the semi finals? I see people doing add drops without incurring any penalty

Where are you seeing that? All the leagues are 5/10/20....I don't see anyone making free moves, unless you're looking at Monday's moves....the leagues started play Monday night, so those moves would have been free anyway.

In league 1 at least one team made add drops after the first 3 Monday games without incurring any penalty.

If you make the changes after 10pm on league starting night, but before the games are actually played (maybe it is midnight and the drops change with the date) you can get free drops as the AI is not aware the season has started.

The rosters are locked for the games at 10pm, so any change made at 10:05 pm will not be included in the 1st 3 games----It basically is a way to cheat the penalty drops the 1st three games---especially with 20% drop leagues--with 5% not so much affect money wise, but ethically it is the same.

If his changes add to more than the 5 % difference it is a way to get a higher price roster than he should have, and any future drop is affected too as he has the full 80M to play with when he shouldn't.

This is a known bug that has been lived with for a while and some guys take advantage to get a better matchup in the 1st three games.

I made my changes Monday afternoon. Was out of town all weekend. Have never made after hour changes like that.

Thanks Miller. The "bug" may have been "known" by some, but not all and certainly not me. Seems pretty weak to exploit it without universal knowledge of it, but oh well. Yes, the add drops affected more than 5% of payroll. Good luck all.

I wasn't referring to Scumby's moves.

I inadvertently made a late 'in the time warp' move in League 1, but I am in Singapore 13 time zones ahead of EST and hadn't mentally adjusted yet. My swap was a 500k SP for a 610k one.

But I assume you are referring to the moves made by the overall Tour points leader. ;)

Hey folks, I was one who made some moves. I can honestly say the moves were not made to take advantage of anything, I just changed my mindset on having Werth vs a platoon of Saunders-Cuddyer, and taking extra money to get better pitcher, and that had an impact on the bench, and so on and so forth.

And if my memory serves well, it was not 10.05pm, but rather somewher around 10.20 and even past, so I was in fact quite stressed that the moves would pass before game 1---I was lucky and I didn't have the 5% penalty.

Anyway, I can undersand the ethics issue. In fact, perhaps the bigger issue is dropping Cuddyer so late and thereby not of having him available for someone else, but again it was not intented. I had trade talks about Cuddyer up to sunday night, and I sent a post saying I was staying put with Cuddyer...and changed my mind at the last minute because I couldn't convince myself that such a platoon would be worth the money, and bigmahon can share to you how unhappy I am of having Werth in my team...the least worst option...
