Sorry guys, my daughter is getting married Friday night in Philly. I live in NY, most guests live in NYor Miami, was in Philly paying bills and dealing with wedding and hotel stuff, have totally forgot about strat.

So today willmurr's baby gets married. If he makes a late pick because he is getting ready, helping, aisle walking, drinking or eating wedding cake, or seems to forget about Strat for the day or so, then he is probably doing the right thing.

I am willing to wait until tomorrow.

Blasphemy, I know, but sometimes life gets in the way of start. As the father of three daughters, I also have no problem putting things on hold until tomorrow.

The other day, you realized you forgot about Strat and then you forgot again and you had your reasons. We put the draft on hold.

I really enjoy Strats as a hobby but I have a job, a wife and 2 kids and sometime, I'll travel, visit my family or go to a party.

So, when I can't have my attention on Strat, not only because I don't like loosing good picks but also because I don't want to let other wait for me turn after turns, I simply call the shots in advance, I proxy (and not on a post on the board but just in a PM sent to someone). And I've seen some of you do the same.

I know, Strat isn't much, a wedding is greater than that, but the RESPECT of the time of others. is something IMO.

In the immortal words of W.C. Fields, "I once spent a year in Philadelphia, I think it was on a Sunday."

My concern is like JF's. I certainly understand stepping off of the regular path for life's major moments -- and would have happily paused the draft for same, if requested -- however routinely delaying this and many other drafts is a pattern of disrespect that can be troubling.

That said, I would ask ironwill1 to manage the available proxies. When there are no more of the proxies remaining, then we will treat willmurr's turn as "OK TO PASS" and continue the draft without waiting the typical 2 hours.
