Theme: You are the GM of a franchise that begins with all of the players that opened their careers with your team. Rules: Sign up and select a franchise when you sign up. The players in each franchise are listed below. 80 mil cap, no DH, and play in your home stadium. The teams are ranked as follows 1. Giants 2. Reds 3. Braves 4. Dodgers 5. Pirates 6. Yankees 7. Tigers 8. Indians 9. Cards 10. White Sox 11. Red Sox 12. Senators 13. Orioles 14. Athletics 15. Phils 16. Cubs 17. Angels 18. Astros 19. Mets. After sign ups are complete, if an expansion franchise is selected (Angels, Astros, Mets) then each team protects 18 players and there is an expansion draft of 15 players from the selected teams. After the possible expansion draft, there is a 2 round draft of free agents from the non-selected teams with draft order in reverse of ranking. Teams ranked 1-4 get no draft picks, teams ranked 5-7 get only a second round pick, and teams 8-19 get 2 picks. Divisions are filled by rank (lowest to highest) starting in the East. Trades are freely allowed after the draft and you can make free agent moves only among your team's players. If there is sufficient interest, the league will continue according to similar rules in the 70s-90s where you can keep your franchise or drop your franchise and select last in the next decade. If you don't have enough players to meet team requirements (e.g. less than 2 catchers) then you can fill your roster with .75 players from nonselected teams.

To clarify a couple points. This is a 60s league. When you sign up, you can select a franchise. So, Ron Santo can name his franchise. I know he's picked the Cubs in some other themes but in this league I think the Cubs have the worst roster (which tells me that their farm system in the 50s and 60s was very poor), so I ranked them last of all the non-expansion teams.
