Yep, one of the cardinal rules of SOM, you have to win in your division. GB and JMP have the best recs in your division. Not sure GB can make up 8 games, but you never know. You and Stoney are right there. I think I'm rooting against Stoney seeing how I'm 1-5 against him!!! The only team that I'm less than -1 against.(Edit: I'm now 4-5 v Stones. Didn't realize we had another series! )

At the risk of jinxing myself, here are the "luck factors"

Code: Select all
Mgr .. .   W   SI   HR   1-R   Pyt   Rolls   UE/E   Inj   Luck Fctr
JTJ....   70   +1%   +2%   +8   +6   +0.4%   62%   -70     4
Stoney.   62   +8%   +4%   -5   0    +0.6%   57%   -36    1
Hawk...   68   +8%   -18%   +6   +4   -0.4%   67%   +45   0.5
AT.....   64   -5%   +6%   +7   +3   -0.7%   85%   -35    0.5
Semper.   62   -2%   +8%   -4   -4   +0.4%   33%   -4     0
Gbrooke   55   -7%   -13%   +6   +3   -0.0%   62%   +7    -0.5
Spider.   68   -4%   -13%   -6   -2   +0.3%   38%   -38   -0.5
BigA...   61   -2%   +2%   -6   -7   +1.2%   53%   +8     -1
JMP....   63   +2%   +2%   -5   0    -0.1%   48%   +3     -1
MG.....   59   -1%   -13%   -1   0    -0.9%   50%   -15   -2
dale...   58   -5%   -30%   +3   +2   +1.0%   57%   -20   -2.5
Smokey.   66   +2%   -0%   -3   -4   -1.6%   56%   -10    -2.5

So, JTJ has been living the high life so far, at least in terms of one run games and injuries. No one else has been particularly lucky

The unlucky duo are Dale and Smokey. It's really sort of hard to tell with Dale since his team has changed so much, but there is NO denying his THREE bphrs so far. That's a 5% rate versus his opponents 23%. As for Smoke, he has the biggest deficit in terms of rolling on his card and a negative win diff. MG has also been unlucky rolling on his card and with the HR difference.

Most everyone else has balanced some good with the bad.

I always like seeing this evaluation. My guys hitting seems to be performing better than my expectations - but luck doesn't appear to be the reason, so far. Lack of injuries has been a big help, but Ramos just went down for 15.

Thanks for the ratings and analysis JTJ!
I really needed Giles or Fernandez to be great. Could have swiezzed 90 wins in that scenario. Since they are mediocre I fear so will I as a whole. I'm hoping to slide into playoffs with a combo of winning at home and staying .500 on the road. We'll see.

Lost 5 of the last 6 series including a sweep by Joe last night. Not good.

Spidey, they are about at the ratings for whatever that is worth.

I never know what to expect out of great pitchers in a park like Coors. But, then again, looking at their home/away stats, they aren't all that different. How does Fernandez have a .95 WHIP on the road but a 3.82 ERA???? That's some bad luck right there. Giles has actually been worse on the road. Go figure. Well, you're sitting a game out of the WC so you're right there. Looks like the WC is going to be between Hawk/Spider and Smokey with AT only 4 back.

Lost 5 of the last 6 series including a sweep by Joe last night. Not good.

Yeah I think we got some splits last night. The thing is.... you're still only 2 back after a stretch like that!

Happy thanksgiving to the NLD! Hope you all are doing well!

I'm thankful for you guys, and thankful for my team. We've been hot lately. Big a has been also pulling away?

A very quiet NLD this time around. :(

Last nine games of the season....

East - Flat-footed tie, but Hawk has the tie breaker so, effectively, he's up a game. However, the loser of those two is still a game up on Smokey for the WC. Smokey has the tie breaker on both squads however.

Central - JTJ's magic number is 1, but Smokey has six games with JTJ remaining and winning those six would give him the tie breaker. Smokey could easily get into the WC even if he doesn't catch JTJ.

West - Another close race. All four teams are technically in it, but GB is four back in fourth. That will be a tough hill to climb. Big A is in the driver's seat up by 2 (JMP) and 3 (Stoney). Big A has a narrow lead in the tie breaker with JMP, but is behind to the other two. Not likely the WC will come from here.

Lurking for the WC spot. Hoping to slide in. Lost mccutch for three, that's gonna hurt. He was in beast mode.

Ouch. Not the time to lose your #1 draft pick. Looks like the East and the WC will come down to the wire. Big A has it just about locked up in the West, but there's still the possibility of an upset there.
