As for the other series, I predict, win or lose, Smokey will have the better run diff! ;) Winning the first game by 17 almost assures that! Holy Smokes, that's like a football score.

Yep that has been the story of my whole season(though predictably so). Win more than my share of the close low scoring games but also get blown out quite a bit as well. I do not like my chances going to Coors the next 3 games. A singles hitting team with no power( hell went an entire season with 4 count them 4 BPHRS in 71 tries) Does not bode well for trying to steal 1 in order to get back home for game 6.

Joe, I don't know who taught you math, but 23 minus 4 is 19, not 17, I guess. :o :D

Well, we were pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. I dont' really mind losing 2-0 to Big A, but giving up 13 runs over the next two games to THAT offense? Brutal. We just sucked. Got outhit .232 to .207.

Losing Tulo for the game 3 that went extras didn't help. That and a 1-3 2b on a RFx and followed by a game winning 1-6 bpsi. Ugh.

Congrats Big A, you do have a great defensive team so I'm not totally surprised to lose to you, but losing when I scored 4 and 6 runs against your offense? That's not generally expected. Of course when Goldschmit hits .438 with 2 bombs, Molina hits .208 and Gregorious (of all people) gotes .375.... The Guy who probably killed me was Markakis who hade 4 big RBI.

We had two guys over .300, but they had 3 RBI between them. You had only 3 more base runners, we were just HORRIBLE in the clutch while you stacked your hits very nicely. Such is SOM. I had hopes of actually winning one of these again *some day* but I I guess it's not going to be in NLD. So much for having the best record and the homefield advantage.

Sorry, JTJ. :o

I looked at the box scores and couldn't believe my eyes. Goldschmidt and Gregorius were absolutely great (my pitching not that much), but Molina and Markakis must have sent their respective evil twins out to produce that much offensive output.

"evil twins' LOL

Eh, it's a short series so weird things happen, but I sure as heck didn't figure I would be outscored in games in your park, I thought they'd be 2-1, 3-2, not 7-6!!!!

Oh well. I'm bummed, but I'll get over it. ;)

Game 5 top of 9th will haunt me until NLD 41 comes about. That was huge for you and extremely painful for me. Good luck to you both in the finals.

Moss's homer in that situation definitely turned the series.

Ouch, a 1-2 HR to win the game???? Of course, the 2b might have tied the game anyway and there was only one out, but still.

Congrats to Big A and Smoke on making the finals. Series tied going to game 5. Looks like 3-1 is the "score d'jour"! One more at Coors and then back to Angel. I would say this is a must win for Smokey.
