I'd say we keep it as it is as the compensation picks are their chance to get that extra multi-carded guy to begin with. In most cases there aren't many multi-carded options still available. I think this will be a pretty minor issue.

I also don't want the chance of someone not understanding and getting a FA drafted player which could happen in the other AD card idea. That could be a mess to fix.

So, let's just keep it like we have it (and did it last league too). Spots 1-5 for FA picks, 6-15 for core guys, 16-25 open to anyone. we can look at your other option if/when we do a 3rd league. just a little late to change it up now.

When we draft a stadium that corresponds to our team, does it have to be the years 1968-1995 or could it be any year stadium? The reason I ask is because some teams have fewer stadium choices than others during the years 1968-1995. On the other hand, the older franchises would have more stadiums to choose from than newer franchises if any stadium from any year for a franchise could be used.

It has to be from 1968-1995.
The rules from page 1 of the original thread states, "Each franchise must use one of it's own real life ballparks from 1968 to 1995, for that particular franchise."

I think when you choose the correct player pool set ATG 68-95 or Golden Era 1968-95 or whatever it says, the only stadiums you can pick from are already there....falcon check me on that.

I thought that would have been the case, but no, all of the stadiums are there to pick from.

I have a cool idea. In the days before interleague play began about 20 years ago, when there were just 6 teams in each division, as our league has now, MLB teams played 18 games each against divisional foes and 12 games each against teams outside of the division in their league.

Last season SOM accommodated our league request to have the playoffs consist of just the divisional winners, just as the MLB playoffs were before wild cards and interleague play. Along those same lines, why don't we ask SOM if they could schedule our teams using the MLB pre-interleague play schedule set forth above, with two divisional champs and two wild cards in each league (AL & NL) and them have the AL and NL champs play each other in the World Series?

SOM seems as though they would be willing to consider such a format, and it would set a nice precedent for franchise league play, giving franchise league creators another scheduling option.

It would probably be easier to set up if the league was all DH or all non DH.

What do you think, gentlemen? Has anyone ever requested such from SOM previously?

I would like to play against all the teams created in the league, not just NL plays only NL etc... so I'm vetoing that option. I will ask SOM if they will set the playoff format to be such that the AL only plays each other and the NL only plays each other until the World Series.

I seriously doubt that SOM would change the regular season schedule format.

If anyone knows or is in a league with Bernie, (BDWard), could you please NICELY let him know that once he loads the NYY into the East division we can move on to the AL West? Thanks!
