Deadball league - WE ARE FULL - THANKS AGAIN

PostSun Dec 20, 2015 3:22 pm

Would anyone be interested in a deadball league. I was in one a long time ago and it was fun. We went with all of the players that have the "db" designation (1871-1920) with the exception of Ruth 20 because lets face it he was not playing deadball. There are 425 position players, excluding Ruth 20, and 343 pitchers. it would definitely be small ball and starting pitching heavy. Any interest????

Rules: 1. Only players from 1871-1920 with a "db" designation next to their team, with the exception of Ruth 20. No Ruth 20. You can use pre 1920 Ruth as a pitcher however.

2. Must use deadball stadium. 1920 or earlier.
3. 80 mil cap (we could go 100 mil. Vote when you sign up.)

1. Lanier64 - 80 mil

Please remember to state which cap you would prefer when you sign up for the league. 80 mil or 100 mil Majority wins

1. Lanier64 - 80 mil
2. 1787 - ?
3.ctstough- 100m- dh (otherwise HAL will pull pitchers- this way they stay in longer; plus there are few RP's, but I'm cool with anything

Good point!! Normally I'm a purist about this sort of thing (being a deadball league and all) but the point about HAL substituting pitchers willy nilly is a good one. I'll opt for the DH unless you guys overwhelming shout me down. So please state your pitcher hitting orDH preference along with your cap preference. I'll add DH to the rules.

Ursoid are you still interested?

Sorry for the delay getting back on this - been on the road a couple of days. Yes, still interested; prefer 100M but will play either. Don't like DH much but understand the concern - I won't decline to play if the majority goes for DH.
