T9 K. Griffey Jr. 5-5 Fly Out (RF) Double Play 2-o b-0

Fred Lynn tries to tag up and is thrown out at 3rd to end the game.
I was losing 13-0, so the base was pointless. If I was down by 3 or less, I'd be pissed.

Lynn was just committing suicide.

down 13-0 Lynn just wanted to beat the traffic going home. I am sure the fans all left, Hal just sees the big picture.

HAL is too wise for us to truly understand. My favorite trick is when he pulls my ace pitcher (20+ game winner), from a 2-1 game and puts in the hot dog vendor.

"If I told my players once I told them a million times, it's the little things that count. Maybe, now, they'll listen," said manager Scruffy McGraw in the post game summary. "We've got to stop blaming the software developers and pull ourselves up by the bootstraps, by golly."
